Erica Rae Hosseini has an older brother Tyler and a younger sister Megan. In her younger years she split her time between Lake Tahoe and Newport Beach. Erica’s mom was a ski instructor and taught Erica to ski at the age of 2. She started surfing at the age of 11.
At 13 Erica Hosseini competed in the NSSA (National Scholastic Surfing Association). In April 2002 she entered the Foster’s Cup at Lower Trestles where she finished 2nd and at age fourteen broke the world record by becoming the youngest surfer to make it to a final of an ASP pro event. In 2003 she won 5 NSSA titles; Southwest Open Conference, Explorer Conference, Regionals, and went on to win the NSSA National Open Women’s Title and The Governor’s Cup. Hosseini graduated from Newport Harbor High School in 2005. She went on to win the following titles;

Erica Hosseini started modelling and has worked for a number of brands such as Oakley and Casio and magazines such as Stab and Locale.
